On December 15th, 1981 Sapi Med was registered at the Chamber of Commerce and in four rooms and a warehouse in Corso 100 Cannoni, Alessandria, the dream of Cavalier Gian Paolo Oddenino finally came to life. After a long period of work in the field of plastic materials, an encounter with Prof. Giuseppe Dodi from Padua gave birth to an innovative idea aimed at radically changing the world of proctology worldwide: the Dilatan. A medical device that has immediately found wide consensus among surgeons from all over the world and that paves Sapi Med’s way to becoming the reference in the field of colorectal surgery, in Italy and then in various countries around the world.
Since then 40 years have passed, Sapi Med has changed many locations, has grown and doubled, creating Sapitech in order to embrace a new high-tech approach to proctology. It has been 40 years of goals, choices and sometimes daring changes; 40 years swinging between peaceful and more arduous moments, but always characterized by great growth and satisfaction. This milestone, however, is nothing but a stage on the path undertaken, as many others are to be reached, with the same enthusiasm and perseverance that motivated us from the beginning and allowed us to get here.
To celebrate our 40th anniversary we have decided to present ourselves with a gift … a new website! With a modern, dynamic and interactive design, the new website aims to be an online business card that can serve as support to the whole Team but also doctors and specialists who wish to stay in touch with the Sapi Med world through news, events, fairs, launches of new devices and much more.
To sum up, we would like to thank all those who in recent years believed in Sapi Med and dedicated themselves to making it a competitive company at an international level. A special thanks and a thought of gratitude goes to Cav. Oddenino who cannot be with us: it is thanks to him that today we will be able to celebrate, thanks to his imagination, his resourcefulness and all those values that he transmitted to us with love and passion.
We look to the future with enthusiasm, trusting this anniversary as a new starting point!
